Rebecca Marie began her artistic quiries at the ripe age of 5 years old. A pencil in hand, she approached a large, beautifully white canvas, that many would have referred to as the door to the laundry room. She drew gangly figures with long, noodley legs and scribbly torsos. She called them 'Mom,' 'Dad,' and 'me.' Rather than being offended by these obscure spaghetti monsters, her parents treasured this though it were a masterpiece, and preserved its life for many years. Since then, Rebecca has learned to respect the cleanliness of a white door and she has transferred her creative energy to the paper canvas, cakes, and the computer screen. She began developing her skills as a digital artist in 2020 and continues to work today. She does commissions upon request, has made many a card to delight her loved ones, and she is currently working on illustrating children's books. Rebecca lives with her family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where she is often inspired by the rolling hills of the Palouse and magical skylines. She enjoys an early morning cup of tea and a good book, often with the pleasant company of her cat.
